Oggi dedichiamo la rubrica “Inglese in musica” alla nostra #Kaplanfriend Muriel, che ha da poco rilasciato il suo primo singolo in inglese.
Una delle cose più difficili dell'apprendimento della lingua inglese è saper riconoscere e utilizzare gli idiomi e le espressioni gergali.
Ascoltare musica in inglese può essere un ottimo modo per migliorare le proprie capacità di ascolto e la propria pronuncia, per ampliare il proprio vocabolario e per imparare nuovi modi di dire in inglese. I testi delle canzoni, infatti, presentano costruzioni linguistiche, metafore e slang che non sempre è possibile trovare nei libri di testo. Tra le espressioni gergali più comuni ci sono, ad esempio, le contrazioni verbali che vengono utilizzate principalmente nell’inglese parlato. Utilizzarle nelle vostre conversazioni vi farà sembrare dei veri e propri native speakers!

Kinda, wanna, gotta
Kinda = è la contrazione di kind of. Vuol dire: una sorta di, una specie di, un po’, tipo
Wanna = è l’abbreviazione di want to. What you wanna do now? = What do you want to do now?
Gotta = è la contrazione di have got to
Eccovi altri modi di dire che vi capiterà di sentire spesso se deciderete di studiare inglese all'estero:
Ain’t: è una forma contratta utilizzata principalmente nell’inglese parlato, il cui significato varia in base al contesto in cui viene utilizzato perché può significare: am not, are not, is not, have not e has not.
Gonna = è l’abbreviazione di going to do. What we gonna do now? = What are we going to do now?
Dunno è un modo informale di dire I don't know in British English.
